Forging a Shared Dream
Our story begins not in a mythical forge, but in the heart of a real-world challenge. From our home here in the misty Pacific Northwest, we are Lisa and Trevitt, the husband-and-wife team behind WonderHoard. For years, Lisa was a top-notch pastry chef, pouring her creativity into incredible sugar sculptures and edible art. When a career-ending injury meant she could no longer continue in the kitchen, we knew her deep need to create couldn’t be extinguished. We just needed to find a new kind of magic.
That magic was found in resin. The fluid process—coloring, pouring, and sculpting—echoed her pastry work, allowing her to craft new kinds of beautiful, durable sculptures. This spark of an idea grew into a mission: to build an income around what we love, together. Lisa began sharing her first creations at a small vendor market here in Ferndale, and as the hoard grew, she became a staple at the Birch Bay summer market, connecting with our wonderful local community.
The name “WonderHoard” is a fusion of our two passions: Trevitt’s lifelong love for the wise, intelligent dragons of Western lore (“The Hoard”), and Lisa’s desire to create items of “Wonder” and enchantment. It is, quite simply, a dragon’s hoard of wondrous things.
Though we share a love for all things mystical, we each bring a different kind of magic to the table. Trevitt’s inspiration comes from a deep history with classic fantasy—growing up with the birth of Dungeons & Dragons and devouring sci-fi and fantasy novels. He is drawn to the wisdom of dragons and the intricate beauty of Celtic and Irish culture. Lisa finds her muse in the spiritual paths of Paganism and Wicca, embracing both the lighter side of fantasy and the powerful aesthetic of skulls and witchy lore.
Grounded by the mysterious nature of the Pacific Northwest—with its deep forests, misty mountains, and whispers of Bigfoot and other local legends—we pour our shared passions into every piece. Our goal is simple: to create art that moves you. Whether it’s a feeling of joy, a sense of awe, or a spark of inspiration, we believe the most important thing is that each artifact we forge finds a home where it can continue its story.
Lisa, The Runesmith
Lisa is the Alchemist of the hoard, a forest witch who delights in transforming fluid ideas into tangible magic. Her work with resin is a direct echo of her past as a pastry chef, where she sculpted art from sugar. She finds a similar creative freedom in resin, using its vibrant colors and swirling depths to give each piece a unique soul, even when using a common mold. For Lisa, both resin pouring and the rhythmic knotting of macrame are a meditative practice—a way to focus intention and keep her hands busy creating beautiful things. She is a true creator of magical items, infusing every piece with the enchanting spirit of a fairy witch.
Trevitt, The Artificer
Trevitt is the Artificer of the hoard, an ancient dragon soul who delights in giving ideas a physical form. He is drawn to his craft’s unique tool—a literal beam of light that feels like a perfect blend of science and spellcraft. Believing that natural materials like wood and stone possess their own lifeforce, he sees his work as a modern-day blacksmithing, using light to awaken the ancient symbols and stories held within. With a precision that feels like magic, he forges permanent artifacts that connect the tangible, natural world with the epic realms of fantasy.
